"Preparing Students for Successful Careers
and a Lifetime of Informed Choices"

Agricultural Education's 3 Part Model:

Agricultural Education was introduced into high schools across the nation with the passing of the Smith-Hughes Vocational Education Act of 1917. The philosophy of Agricultural Education programs is the same today as it was in the early years with the three part model. This model offers all students in the agricultural education program classroom instruction, FFA experiences, and supervised agricultural experiences (SAE).

The Waverly Agricultural Education Program strives to continue this approach by encouraging each student taking an agriculture class to identify a supervised agricultural experience and to join FFA and actively participate in the local FFA chapter activities.
