Trick or Treat So
Kids Can Eat
Members of FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, and SkillsUSA were dropped off around Waverly
and went from door to door asking for not perishable food items to be donated to the
Waverly Food Pantry. Thirty-five club members collected over 700 lbs of food in 2 hours.

JK's Pumpkin Patch Nine members volunteered at JK's Pumpkin patch for 4 hours on a very busy Saturday in
October. Members supervised the barnyard, helped visitors on and off the hayrack to and
from the pumpkin patch, checked pumpkin tickets as visitors exited the patch and collected
carts from the parking lot. Additionally, 4 members volunteered at the Easter Egg Hunt in April.

Christmas Shopping Four FFA members spent 1 hour in a local retail store filling a cart with Christmas presents
to help a local family have a merry Christmas. We were able to fulfill everything on the families
wishlist and had a lot of fun shopping!

 Friendship Home
Blanket Drive
Many members from our chapter collected over 20 blankets and delivered them to the
Friendship Home right before Christmas break. The Friendship home was very appreciative of
our generous donation in midst of winter.

Feeding Our Farmers Nine members spent three hours packing 1200 bags with lunches for delivery to the Midwest
Farmer's Co-op locations. The lunch bags included a thank you note
for the producers and the folks helping with the fall harvest. The bags are handed out in
mid-October for two weekends.

Kiwanis Sweet Corn Ten members spent 9 hours working side by side with Waverly Kiwanis members picking over
600 dozen ears of sweet corn. Kiwanis takes pre-orders from many local businesses who in
turn give the corn as a gift to their employees. The Kiwanis also made 45 dozen available to
the FFA to sell on their own.
